DRIVER type injection equipment

The Chemical Prevention Treatment. Principle of injection equipment.
Principle and description of the various injection equipments

 PRINCIPLE

The injection systems developed by AIT DRIVEX have been specially designed to allow a simple quick and efficient injection of the liquid reagents from the DRIVEX 2000., range, whatever the type of generator in use: water-tube boilers, smoke-tube or recovery boiler downstream the incineration furnaces. They are all patented.

Simple

Air-compressed (DRIVER 100) or with a centrifugal pump (DRIVER 200-300) they are delivered ready-to-use.

Their installation does not entail any modification of the boilers or burners.

Except DRIVER 100, manual and portable equipment, all other equipment is semi-automatic or fully automatic. Their automaton will entirely manage the injection cycles.

Staff in charge of their exploitation will therefore not be in direct contact with the reagents.

Quick

The injection cycles period varies from a few dozen seconds to a few minutes according to the quantities of reagent to inject and the number of injection hoses.

Efficient

Together with the pulverization nozzles adapted to each case, this equipment will allow a swift vaporization of the reagent inside the flame or in the flue gas.

 DESCRIPTION

 The DRIVER 100 equipment

The DRIVER 100 equipment is the simplest of all equipment developed by AIT DRIVEX. Portable, it is made of a pressurized stainless steel tank holding from 10 to 19 liters. It is fitted with a pistol-grip handle ending with a pulverization nozzle.

Once filled with the necessary amount of reagent to inject and under pressure (4 bars maximum), the DRIVER 100 can be carried to the boiler needing treatment. The injection is then made through an aperture in the boiler.

The 2 liters injection is less than 2 minutes long

 The DRIVER 200 equipment

The DRIVER 200 is semi-automatic, it is started manually and the injection cycle that follows is automatic. This conception makes possible the treatment of two adjoining boilers, the operator placing the hose in the ad-hoc aperture.

In most cases, the injection hose(s) can be set in a permanent way on the treated boiler.

The DRIVER 200 equipment can be mounted on a wall or a guardrail or set on a stand, they are made in one piece

They use a centrifugal pump operating on a single phase 220 volt current or a 220/380 three phase current. The compressed air is used to cool the injection hose(s) at the beginning of each cycle, and to drain the mainline at the end of an injection cycle.

 The DRIVER 300 equipment

Set on the ground on a metallic stand, the DRIVER 300 is designed with the same principles as the DRIVER 200 but is fully automatic.

The injection cycle is controlled with a timer.

According to the demands of the installation, this equipment can be fitted with a level detector, a flow detector and a warning light or buzzer.

 The DRIVER 2000 equipment

This range was born in the year 2000, and is made with a programmable automaton coupled with a volumetric counter and manages the entire injection cycle: time of injection, cooling, quantity of product, draining as well as all safety devices: product level, product flow, hose after hose if necessary.

If the injection hose(s) are mounted on a pneumatic jack, the automaton will also manage its running.

The range is: DRIVER 2000, DRIVER 2001 et le DRIVER 2002.

 The DRIVER 420 equipment

Exclusively air-compressed, the DRIVER 420 is more particularly intended for smaller boilers needing smaller quantities of product.

 INSTALLATION

According to the terms of its technical assistance, AIT DRIVEX will provide its clients with a detailed notice of the delivered equipment as well as the charts allowing to calculate the quantities of product needing to be injected according to the amounts of fuel used.

 APPLICATION CONTROL

The regularity (dosage and frequency) of the injections and the quality of the pulverization are crucial in obtaining quick and meaningful results.

 VISUAL CONTROLS

An injection of reagent must produce an intense white smoke in the furnace. It can be seen through a sight glass in the boiler (photos of the furnace before and during the operation) and/or at the top of the chimney if the plant does not have a smoke-cleaning system (electrostatic dusters or washers). Photos of the chimney BEFORE AND DURING an injection.

 INJECTION OPTIMIZATION

The installation allowing (see above), the regular checking of the opacimeter will allow checking that the quality of the injection remains constant.
The following three diagrams, delivered with the injection equipment notice detail the procedure.
