Injection hoses

(on-load boilers)
Specification and installation of the injection hoses on the different types of boilers.

 SPECIFICATIONS

These hoses were designed to allow the injection of liquid reagents from the DRIVEX range into the flame of the fuel burner, into the furnace of the coal-boilers or into the incinerators for domestic waste or special waste.

They are an integral past of the AIT DRIVEX patent, taken in 1984. The nozzles have been chosen to maintain an optimal spay, i.e. a very good dispersal of the reagents into the flame.

Our experience in the field confirms that the choice of the injection points for the reagent has a crucial role in the rapid and significant results. It is part of the AIT DRIVEX know-how.

These nozzles are made in 316 L stainless steel.

 INSTALLATION

Several parameters are considered :
  • the temperature on the premises,
  • the boiler's geometry,
  • the speed of the combustion gases at the injection point.

Whenever it is possible, the injection hoses are fixed, not needing to be handled by the boiler's staff.

In a fuel-oil boiler, the injection hose(s) will be placed immediately next to one or more burners.

In a coal-boiler or an incinerator, the injection hose(s) will be placed inside one (or several) secondary air vents.

If the temperature at the injection point is too high, the injection hose(s) will be mounted on a pneumatic jack and remain exposed to the heat only during the time of the injection.

If otherwise impossible, the injection hose will be directly placed by the operator through a lateral aperture at the moment of the injection if the furnace is not pressurized.

The hose(s) are connected to the injection equipment with a rubber joint fitted with adaptors or stainless steel pipes.

Within the framework of technical assistance provided to its clients, AIT DRIVEX will supply the installation diagrams for each particular case. If necessary, a particular study will be made by the AIT DRIVEX technician.

Setting up the injection hose(s) is the client's responsibility.
